Penelope lives with her husband David at Homewood, a farmlet in Northland, New Zealand. They have five adult children, twenty-one grandchildren, and one great grandson.

Penelope has written two romantic Christian novels in The Disenchanted Club series so far, and illustrated a children's book called The Adventures of Romy, which draws upon her love and knowledge of horses and music. She has been a keen horse rider since childhood, and currently has two horses that she has trained to harness.

An award-winning singer/songwriter, Penelope has recorded several albums and performed throughout New Zealand and overseas. She also loves to play the violin, having learnt as an adult, and over the last twenty years has started many children on the road to both classical violin and fiddle playing.

Penelope is currently writing a much anticipated sequel to The Adventures of Romy, due to be completed in 2025!
