The Adventures of Romy is a beautiful story of family and love both on a human level and also God’s love for people. It is also a fun horse story and dog story, and a story about farm life in Wales in a bygone century. We all enjoyed this gentle yet interesting story; when we were a few chapters into it, my 14-year-old commented that he really liked it. This wasn’t a book that kept us on the edge of our seats with suspense, but rather a gentle account of the realistic adventures of a young boy trying to find his place in the world. I liked the way Romy’s family expressed their faith in such a natural way. I highly recommend this book as a family read-aloud.

I would love to give the Romy book to every family I know - what an asset to have this book available. It should be read by every family with children to unplug them and bring them back to the beauty of God’s creation around us.
I will share The Adventures of Romy with everyone I know as it's been such a huge blessing. I’ve suggested at our church to buy Romy for every parent and grandparent family for Christmas. We normally get a book for each child but I think this would be much more beneficial and give families time together reading. Julia
